God’s Timepiece (Securing our Territory)

JOB 11:18 “And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig [about thee, and] thou shalt take thy rest in safety.”

Israel as our “God’s Timepiece” is an update on what is happening to the land that God used and protected.

RAFAH, Gaza StripTens of thousands of Palestinians poured from the Gaza Strip into Egypt Wednesday after masked gunmen with explosives destroyed most of the seven-mile wall dividing the border town of Rafah. The Gazans crossed on foot, in cars or riding donkey carts to buy supplies made scarce by an Israeli blockade of their impoverished territory. Police from the militant group Hamas, which controls Gaza, directed the traffic. Egyptian border guards took no action. Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel said Israel has no forces on the Gaza-Egypt border and, “therefore it is the responsibility of Egypt to ensure that the border operates properly, according to the signed agreements.”“We expect the Egyptians to solve the problem,” Mekel said. “Obviously we are worried about the situation. It could potentially allow anybody to enter.”

Israeli is now concern over security as Israeli defense officials said they were moved that Hamas could use the opening of the border to bring weapons and ammunition into Gaza. They spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the defense ministry had issued no official statement. The gunmen began breaching the wall dividing Rafah before dawn, according to witnesses and Hamas officials. A total of 17 explosions destroyed the Rafah wall Wednesday, Hamas security officials said. The officials, who spoke to The AP on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, said they were allowing Palestinians to move freely through two gaps. The identity of the gunmen who breached the border was not immediately clear. But Hamas expressed support for the move, saying that, “Blowing up the border wall with Egypt is a reflection of the … catastrophic situation which the Palestinian people in Gaza are living through due to the blockade.”

Wisdom/Insight:

Thought they were secured in the times of Daniel, “The handwriting’s on the wall”. Daniel said to the King, “You ought to have knowed better than this. Your father, Nebuchadnezzar, had that kind of a spirit on him, and you know what God did for him.” Said, “Besides all of this, your days are numbered.”Right at that same time, there they thought they were secure, but all the best scientists, the best soldiers, the best footmen, the best entertained… The Medes and Persians, an ungodly nation, many miles away, historians tell us, had bypassed the river Euphrates. They couldn’t get over the walls. Certainly not. They couldn’t get into them, but they were ready for them.

And an ungodly nation had cut down a ditch and bypassed the river Euphrates down through mountains, and set this little gap in two, and bypassed the river. And right while them women in them soldiers arms… And when they got their drunken condition, put all their ungodly sexy clothes on… What happened? At that very hour the Medes and Persians had done chopped down the guards at the gate, coming under the walls where the river run, coming and was on the steps. All that blarey-eyed women, and men so drunk they could hardly hold one another up… And an hour from then, them women was ravished publicly, right out on the street with a men and killed, and busted their heads, and killed their children, and just a massacre.Hour after that, soldiers streamed into there, and took their cities, took their houses, killed their king. What had happened? It’s like this very hour. If the sputnik stopped over the state…?… What would the Pentagon that’s all shook up tonight about it, what would they do? You…?… You hear the news; you–you see the paper. They don’t know what to say about these things.

Russia’s taking pictures of us tonight, out of a sputnik. They don’t know what to do. Oh, she’s all shook up, aren’t we?What would our Pentagon do, if Russia did such a thing, and say, “Now, surrender, or go to ashes.” We’d have to surrender, only sensible thing to do would be surrender. They’re up there: we can’t bring them down. They’ve got their guns on us. Just about three or four of them bombs, and that settles the whole thing. Oh, she’s all shook up, brother, sister. The nations that are such a tremendous nervous condition tonight, till they don’t know what to do. A great writer said the other day, there’s one little thread between the smartest of us and total insanity. If we had a President like we got now, Oh, if we had one in every country, we could not be secured. If we had bomb shelters all under these places and everything, we’re still not secured. There’s only one safe place; that’s in Christ, the Son of the living God. He is the bomb Shelter. Under His wings we will abide. We will rest safely!
